CALL FOR ARTISTS

NORTH AUGUSTA FORWARD CALL FOR ARTISTS

Event: Third Thursday Chalk Walk

Event Date: Thursday, April 20th

Location: Downtown North Augusta (specific business location provided upon approval)

Summary Details: Art should be in keeping with a Spring Theme, Juried by NA Forward Arts + Culture Committee, prizes will be awarded for 1st-3rd place winners, limited (10-15 artists)

Application Due By: April 7, 2023

Notification of Acceptance By: April 10, 2023

April’s spring themed Third Thursday event will include a Chalk Walk featuring local artists alongside downtown merchants. Artists will be paired with businesses and the size of your “concrete canvas” will vary from a standard size sidewalk square to larger less restricted space. Artist can begin working on their chalk art at 3 pm and need to be finished by 7 pm. North Augusta Forward will supply each artist with chalk. The chalk will be available at the business you are paired with. The Arts and Culture Committee will jury chalk art starting at 7 pm and awards will be announced by 7:45 pm. If selected, you will have the opportunity to setup a table to display your art for purchase (you would be responsible for all supplies to setup i.e., table, chair, linen).

THIRD THURSDAY Every month on third Thursday Downtown North Augusta comes alive with unique experiences and opportunities to engage with local shops and restaurants. Each month offers a new theme and new ways to get involved. The community is invited to visit all participating businesses using the vintage trolley.
