Taste of the water

North Augusta is situated along the banks of the Savannah River. There are several public access points.

Fishing & Boating:
The North Augusta Boat Ramp is located on Hammonds Ferry Road at Riverview Park. This landing features a hard-surface boat ramp, floating dock, and two fishing piers. Paved parking and picnic tables are also available. There are also a limited number of primitive campsites in the vicinity. Reservations are required.

Hiking:
Savannah River Bluffs Heritage Preserve features a 1.5 mile, moderately-difficult trail loop. The loop takes you to a bluff overlooking the Savannah River, where depending on conditions, you may see wildlife as well as rare local flora. The preserve is located off Old Plantation Road near I-20, exit 1 in North Augusta. Parking is available.

Public Green Space:
Boeckh Park is located along the riverfront extension of the Greeneway Trail. With beautiful river views, the park offers a floating dock*, open fire pit, a covered pavilion and ample greenspace. The park is located at 501 Front Street adjacent to Hammond’s Ferry.

Amphitheater:
600 seat outdoor amphitheater on the banks of the Savannah River near Riverside Village located at 1001 Center Street in Riverside Village.
